Accusations of murder cut into the heart of a convent in this dramatic film that was nominated for three Oscars. Last time this was available on home video was back in the 80s on the defunct RCA Columbia label. So if you've been scouring dodgy video shops for it, your hunt is over as it's out now on a feature free DVD, star rated here only on picture and sound quality.

Picture The muted colour scheme of the cinematography matches the sombre tone of this film, but the transfer to DVD is clean and without any major flaws.
Sound A light 2.0 surround mix does a few favours for the music score, but has little in terms of effects.
