If you must "See Spot Run", then you might as well do so courtesy of a DVD with a few more tricks than your average pooch.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Picture Clear as a bell, sharp as a pin, we might as well just come out and admit it - the picture quality is good.
Sound What's this? Good sound too? Yup, all 5.1 channels of it handle the music score and David Arquette's screams for mercy to pleasing effect.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Audio Commentary Director John Whitesell provides an easy, detailed commentary. In making this film he was keen to produce a kids' comedy that might actually be bearable for adults, especially himself! He describes how the various dogs were directed in the film, as well as highlighting some improvised moments in the movie.
Spot's Silly Dog Tricks Here we get to take a look at the audition tapes for some of the pooches that tried out for the movie. Marvel as Spanky flips out over a laser light pen, Jack administers CPR to a doll (no, really!) and Kirby 'flies' (or rather yaps constantly). Don't watch this feature with dog lovers. Their cooing is enough to make prison look like a healthy option. Bah! Doubtless this feature would rate highly with You've Been Framed viewers.
