Anyone who enjoyed the early work of John Waters will love "Divine Trash". A whole host of behind-the-scenes footage and retrospective interviews combine to create a thoroughly entertaining documentary that's now out on DVD.
With plenty of clips from Waters first films on show here, it's hard to expect great picture quality. The DVD transfer is reasonable though and doesn't add any new problems.
The 2.0 sound mix sticks to the centre speaker, which is just fine as the feature is mainly all dialogue.
There aren't any real extra features apart from filmographies, but there really is no need for any. The documentary provides all the information you'd want and some choice quotes too. From John Waters: " "Mondo Trasho" was 90 minutes, should have been 10" and, "I asked Divine at the beginning, "Would you eat shit?" " Incredibly, there's footage of Divine practising the dog turd scene. Apparently there was plenty of time for this too as the dog was particularly nervous.
