Beavis And Butt-Head Do America DVD (1996)

Even if you loathe the TV series you'll be surprised at just how funny this film is. It's still incredibly crass and juvenile but it's got a better plot structure than most blockbusters and it makes for a remarkably good DVD.

The film opens with a giant Beavis and Butt-Head terrorising downtown America, accompanied by a battery assault of sound effects from your speakers. The credit sequence that follows, of a spoof Seventies' cop show, comes with a great Issac Hayes tune that is well directed around the sound stage with good use of the sub woofer. Listen out also for the hilarious "Lesbian Seagull" song by top lounge crooner Engelbert Humperdink.

Picture quality is razor-sharp with great, deep colours, especially in the hilarious hallucination sequence.

The only extras are two teaser trailers but the transfer and presentation are top notch.
