Claude (Tom Ellis)

Wessex Tonight's dashing young sports reporter Claude is a good chap, with his heart in the right place, even if he can't always think of the right thing to say. His and Hero's seems like a match made in heaven - a whirlwind romance leading straight to the altar. But Claude can be a bit easily led, and when someone starts putting doubts in his mind, his jealously gets the better of him.

Tom Ellis

Tom Ellis decided he wanted to act halfway through his A Levels - before that he'd always wanted to be the physiotherapist for Sheffield Wednesday instead!

One of Tom's main TV roles was Frank Bennett in BBC drama Nice Guy Eddie, in which he played a young man claiming to be Eddie's (Ricky Tomlinson) illegitimate son.

He's also played John Browdie in The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Dr Philip Ryder in Messiah and Harry Taylor in Waking the Dead. He guest stars in David Renwick's romantic comedy Love Soup as Mike, opposite Tamsin Greig.

He's played policemen in films Vera Drake and High Heels and Low Lives, and acted with Joaquim Phoenix in Buffalo Soldiers, a dark war comedy.
