'Jhankaar Beats' is a musical comedy based on three couples at various stages of their relationships.

Deep (Sanjay Suri) and Shanti (Juhi Chawla) are a happily married couple who have a small daughter, Muskaan.
The couple are now expecting their second child and Shanti is now in the seventh month of her pregnancy.
Shanti's mother is coming to help just before the birth of the baby but due to her domineering nature, the couple are in a real dilemma.
Deep's best friend, Rishi (Rahul Bose) is separated from his wife Nicky (Rinky Khanna).
But being of an introvert nature, Rishi finds it very difficult to show his emotions.

Trapped within himself, he has no option but to go ahead with the divorce. He is now mentally preparing himself for his first day in court. Deep and Rishi have their own advertising company but at night they work as musicians. They must now practise hard in order to win the musical contest call 'Jhankaar Beats'. The third angle comes in the form of Neel (Shayan Munshi), a management trainee from New York who joins the advertising company of Deep and Rishi.

Neel's father has given him a two-month deadline in order to find a girl of his dreams before he shuttles back to New York.
He finds love in Preeti (Rya Sen) but is unable to speak out. So now he must devise a plan to win Preeti's heart.
Jhankaar Beats is all about what happens in the coming months: Deep has to cope with his mother-in-law, Rishi has to sort out his divorce problems and Neel has to talk to Preeti.
All of them together have to win the `Jhankaar Beats` contest but more importantly, the three men have to decide whether winning is everything in life.
