Ek Aur Ek Gyarah meaning 'One Plus One Equals Eleven' is a typical David Dhawan comedy thriller.
The story is based on two easy going small-town crooks, Tara (Sanjay Dutt) and Sitara (Govinda).

During one of their police chases, they mistakably shoot Cobra (Ashish Vidhyarthi), one of the biggest criminals of the nation.
Tara and Sitara manage to escape but Cobra gets arrested and he vows revenge.
Fed up of being on the run from both the police and Cobra, Tara and Sitara decide that the only way out of this sticky situation is to escape to Nepal where they can live peacefully forever.
The sub-plot in this hilarious flick comes in the form of Cobra's brother, Panther (Gulshan Grover) who is arrested by Major Ram Singh (Jackie Shroff).

Panther has the code to the nation's nuclear weapon and Major is trying his best to get to the bottom of this conspiracy.
Tara and Sitara soon learn about the Major and his present situation. They reckon that he is the only person who can get them across the border to Nepal.
So they find their way into the Major's house and what's more, they win the hearts of his family by falling in love with Major's daughter (Amrita Arora) and her friend (Nandini Singh) respectively.

|
But when Cobra gets wind of Tara and Sitara's whereabouts, he plans to use them in order to get his brother freed.
He achieves this by kidnapping Major's mum and blackmails Tara and Sitara into getting Panther out of jail.
How these two criminals get involve in a tension filled situation which could escalate into a nuclear war, brings about some nail biting moments and hilarious situations very similar to Peter Seller's fiascos in the Pink Panther series.
