Enjoy two weeks of events including re-enactments, workshops and fairs - with the traditional Mayor's parade and a number of open air concerts! Peterborough Festival 2009, Saturday 20th June to Sunday 5th JulyThe festival kicks off on Saturday 20th June with the Mayor's procession through the city centre to its destination at Central Park. ![]() Re-enactment Society, photo Terry Harris There will be plenty of activities to take part in across the weekend including free open-air concerts, displays, shows, workshops and much more! For the middle weekend, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June, the festival moves to the city centre and brings the rich heritage of the city to life. The Heritage Fayre will feature costumed re-enactors, history displays, battles and demonstrations in the cathedral precincts and city centre streets. And don't forget to visit the Medieval market with traditional stalls and crafts. ![]() Peterborough Festival 2008 For the final weekend, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July, the festival moves to the Embankment and Riverside for the Town and Country Fair and the Peterborough Boat Festival. Attractions include market stalls selling traditional goods and local produce, animal displays including birds of prey and shire horses and a fantastic range of traditional vehicles.
