Although online registration is now closed, you can still take part by registering on the day at Wimpole Hall.

On-the-day registration opens at 9am.

The runs (half marathon, 5.25 mile and one mile) will start at 10am with the 9.5 mile walk starting at 10.15am

Whether you're looking for a physical challenge, a fun family day out or a kick start to a healthier way of life, this is the run for you; it's also a fantastic way to raise money for two great charities...

Our great fun run is taking place on Sunday 13th September, so it's high time you fished out the odour-eaters (other brands of trainer-tamers are also available!) to ensure your running shoes are flowery-fresh before then.

It's good for you... and it's good for us!

Increase your heart rate and increase the coffers of two very worthwhile causes by joining in the Great Cambridgeshire Run.

Fun at the 2008 Great Cambridgeshire Run

Any sponsorship money you raise will be divided equally between BBC Radio Cambridgeshire's Trustline charity, which supports local causes in this county, and the British Heart Foundation who will give a big, hearty and heartfelt 'thank you' for all your efforts.

Last year the first ever Great Cambridgeshire Run raised £8,235. That meant the BHF and BBC Trustline each received £3911.62 and the National Trust £411.75.

Run round Wimpole Hall!

We've devised a number of different routes so there's bound to be one to suit you, no matter what your level of fitness.

A half marathon (13.1 miles)
A 4.5 mile run
A 1 mile run
A 9.5 mile walk

And all in the gorgeous surroundings of Wimpole Hall and its gardens! Plus there'll be plenty of activities for all the family to enjoy like face painting, food, and live music.
