This winter, Parker's Piece in Cambridge will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a fabulous ice rink, so you can keep that festive feeling going right through to the new year! It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it, doesn't it? Cambridge on Ice, Parker's Piece, Saturday 15th November 2008 to Sun 4th January 2009 (closed Christmas Day)It's bigger and even better than last year, when Cambridge's outdoor rink attracted around 40,000 eager skaters, and this year the organisers have added some great new festive attractions including log cabins and a German market. ![]() Fun for all ages! From 12th December to 21st December, the continental market will have over 20 Christmassy stalls including decorations and festive food and drink. Add to this the two Alpine log cabins serving winter-warming refreshments and you'd got a treat for your tummy as well as your feet! So, get your skates on...The rink will be open every day from 9am - 9pm with an additional hour 9pm - 10pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Skating sessions last around 45 minutes. The 9am - 10am sessions from Mondays to Fridays are restricted for parent & toddlers and 'silver skaters'.
