Keep your fingers crossed for good weather so you can prise the plug off the PS3 and get your little darlings to do something a bit more constructive this half-term.

All week

Peterborough Museum - Perfect Pets (until 15th June). Are cats cool, or do dogs rule? Or is there another perfect pet for you?  Learn about some odd pets, ancient pets and how to keep them. Be a vet in our pet hospital, or follow the pet trail!

Peterborough Museum - Tuesday 27th - Friday 30th May. Animal themed family craft activities, 10.30am - 12.30pm each morning, themed trail around the Museum, live animals each afternoon, 2pm-4pm and much more!

Saturday 24th May

Wimpole Estate - Discovering the Bugs & Beasties of Wimpole. Guided Walk by our Forester looking at the bugs and beasties found at Wimpole at 2pm. Adult £5, child £2.50.  Booking essential on 01223 206000.

Scarecrow Weekend at Wimpole Hall - Wimpole Estate staff display their weird and wonderful scarecrows in the walled kitchen garden. Normal admission applies. 10.30am to 5pm

Monday 26th May (Bank Holiday)

Cherry Hinton Hall - Environment Festival Reccy from 2pm to 4pm. Meet by the duck pond for pond dipping and mini gardens. Free. (City Council event)

Burwell Museum - Opening of the Vintage Vehicles Gallery, Museum open at 2pm. Gallery opening ceremony 3pm. Featuring the very last Burwell & District bus (built in 1962) and a selection of other vintage vehicles from Burwell and the surrounding area.
