Cambridge on Ice

Nice as ice...

Strap on your skates and make like Bambi at Peterborough's outdoor ice rink this winter.

This winter, Peterborough's Cathedral Square will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a fabulous ice rink, so you can keep that festive feeling going right through to February! It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it, doesn't it?

Peterborough ice rink, Cathedral Square, Sun 18th Nov 2007 to Sun 17th Feb 2008

Peterborough's covered rink will be open from 10am to 9pm, seven days a week. Each session is an hour long with the first session starting at 10am and a 15-minute break in between each session before the next starts. In total, there will be nine sessions each day with the last session starting at 8pm.

ice skating

Fun for all ages!

As well as the skating, you can enjoy hot chocolate and mince pies or take a look around some of the festive farmers' markets that will be taking place throughout the Christmas period.

Ice skating tickets will cost £7 each and include skate hire; family tickets (two adults and two children) are available for £25. Bookings will be taken at the rink or tickets can be booked in advance from Britaly Travel, in Peterborough, by calling 01733 313939 or email sales@britalytravel.com.

Skaters are asked to arrive 20 minutes before their session to allow for skate fitting. You can bring your own skates, but the organisers reserve to right to refuse their use if they are unsafe. All skaters under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
