Peterborough Museum - Get Crafty from Monday 22nd - Friday 26th Oct from 10.30am - 12.30pm. Fun for families, with paper, crayons and glue. Plus, weather permitting, you can try out Mini Diggers - learn how to be an archaeologist! Cost: free. 01733 343329 for details.

Welney Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust - Super Whooper swans: Follow the Super Whooper trail, find out all about hoe Welney is tracking its swans by satellite and use the materials in the arts centre to enter their art competition. 01353 860711 for details.

Welney Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust - Children's Day: Author CA Chance will read from ‘The Trepets’ at 11am and 3pm, plus art workshops and pumpkin carving, treasure hunt and pond-dipping. 01353 860711 for details.

Monday 22nd October

Queensgate - Meet Bart and Homer Simpson. From 11am then on the hour, Bart and Homer will meet and greet their fans.

Freckenham Village Hall - Garlic Theatre with The Magnificent Flying Machine. Follow the wacky adventures of Prof. Bix Horn as he tries to fly by the seat of his pants!! Tickets in advance from: 01638 720111 or 720635. Adults £4, concs & kids £3. £1 more on the door. Doors 1.30pm.

Wimpole Home Farm - Family activity day: Butter making and Halloween activities plus meet the children’s entertainer. 11am - 4pm. Cost: Normal admission plus a small charge for materials.

March Town Hall Arts Centre - Creepy Character Creations: a Halloween theatre workshop. Remember Jekyll and Hyde? How werewolves change by the full moon? How vampires change shape and people disappear before your very eyes? Workshop with Fenland Youth Theatre Arts Courses director Joseph Ballard. Please arrive wearing black/dark comfortable clothing. For 6-11 year olds 1pm – 2.30pm. For 12-17 year olds 3pm – 4:30pm. 01354 652769 for details. There is a £2 charge per person, per workshop.

Tuesday 23rd October

Queensgate - Mad Science Workshop and guest appearance by Dexter from Dexter’s Laboratory – kids can get scientific with this interactive science workshop and meet and greet Dexter, the boy genius.

St Neots Library, Priory Lane, St Neots - Craft workshop: Bring along some bits and pieces and an artist will help you create something really special from them! 10.30am - 12.30pm.

March Town Hall Arts Centre - Indian Dance Class. Come learn a short routine of Indian Dance. in Kathak Style with Alpana Sengupta, revered Indian Dancer and teacher. Please arrive wearing comfortable clothing. 10:30am – 11:30am ages 6-11 years. 11:45am – 12:45pm ages 12-17 years. 01354 652769 for details and booking. Queensgate - Snoopy’s Aerobics Workout - a workout with everyone’s favourite cartoon dog.
