Sacrewell Farm & Country Centre promises a day out for children and adults alike with plenty of animals, food, entertainment, and cookery skills to tempt the whole family at the Festival of Food and Farming, this weekend, just outside Peterborough.

Saturday 15th - Sunday 16th September- Harvest Festival-themed event this weekend at Sacrewell Farm, just outside Peterborough.

Enjoy a fun-filled family day out at the Festival of Food and Farming in the setting of a beautiful working farm. After a successful start last year, the festival is back, offering the chance once again for the general public to experience all aspects of food and farming in Cambridgeshire.

Highlights include a Shire Horse show and demonstrations to enjoy, a local farmers' market to tempt you with all all manner of mouthwatering goodies as well as interesting crafts and rural skills, various entertainment throughout the day and cart rides to thrill the little ones.

Expect the event to have a village fete feel, but with more than the usual fare on offer. Sacrewell Farm & Country Centre will be hosting bread making and milling, free vintage bus rides, tractor tours and much more. Cream Teas will be served at the Mill House, plus don't miss the Local Chef's Challenge featuring popular local chefs cooking
enticing dishes with sumptuous local produce from the farmers' market, right before your very eyes.

One chef already hard at work thinking up his winning recipe is Steve Wells from the King's Head at Apethorpe, who said “I am really looking forward to this Local Chef’s
Challenge, it will be a great opportunity to showcase my skills and to use some of the great local produce and to be part of this fun event”.

Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre is situated off the A47 Peterborough to Leicester Road, where the A47 crosses the A1 at Wansford.  It is well signposted on each road.
