Find out more at your local BBC’s Family Wanted Campaign event in Peterborough this September. Saturday 22 September 2007: Family Wanted event in Peterborough, at Jack Hunt School, Ledbury Road, PE3 9PN.In September there will be 20 events across the UK offering a one-stop shop to potential new adopters and long-term foster carers to find out about what’s involved in fostering and adopting in the UK. Members of the public can find out about the needs locally, and can meet local carers, adopters and adoptees’ to learn about their personal experiences and ask questions. The aim of ‘Family Wanted’- the BBC’s Adoption and Foster Care Campaign- is to support potential new adopters and long-term foster carers to find out if they could become a child in need’s parent or carer. The campaign also aims to inform and educate the wider public about adoption and foster care issues in the UK. The Family Wanted event in Peterborough will take place at Jack Hunt School, Ledbury Road, Peterborough, PE3 9PN. The event will start at 12pm and finish at 4pm on Saturday 22nd September.
