Taking place in the small but perfectly formed city of Ely, nestled in the heart of the Fens, this three-day festival is a must for all music lovers; just take a look at some of the acts on offer... Friday 6th July EZIO: contemporary acoustic rock singing duo, described as the best-kept secret of the music business. TIN TIN LADY: one of the fastest rising bands on the UK acoustic scene, winning acclaim everywhere for their unique and bewitching blend of brilliant and original songs. WIDE GLIDE BAND: end the evening with a late dance session with this popular Ceilidh band! Saturday 7th July SHOOGLENIFTY: fast and furious Scottish instrumental dance band - sure to get you dancing to the beat of their Celtic roots! JACKIE OATES: since her appearance as a finalist in Radio 2's Young Folk Awards in 2003, Jackie has become a firmly established performer in the English Fiddle Singing Tradition. SID KIPPER: welcome back to the Ely festival for Sid, quite simply funniest man in Norfolk and the folk scene's finest humourist. Sunday 8th July JEZ LOWE AND THE BAD PENNIES: one of the busiest around, Jez accompanies himself on guitar, cittern, dulcimer and harmonica, appearing with his group The Bad Pennies. NICK BARRACLOUGH: Radio 2 presenter Nick and his band will entertain you with a variety of material from lonesome cowpoke laments to songs of velvety slick loungeness, and original songs.
