Professor Hawking will speak on 'Out of a Black Hole', and the lecture will explore some of the mysteries of our universe and black holes in a simplified way.

Andrew was a member of the Relativity group, part of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Areas of research within the group include cosmology, the early universe and black holes. The lecture will celebrate his work and life.

Professor Hawking has given us an insight into understanding the origins of the Universe. He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease at the age of 21. Many people will recognise him as the author of 'Brief History of Time', and his appearance in the Simpsons.
