Netherlands Scholarship for Non-EU/EEA Students
The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science funds the NL Scholarships, formerly known as the Holland Scholarship, which are intended for international students from countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to pursue their bachelor’s or master’s degree at one of the Dutch research universities or universities of applied sciences in Holland. A $5,000 scholarship is being offered.
The Danish Ministry of Education awards a number of scholarships each year to highly qualified and driven foreign students from outside the EU/EEA who want to enroll in full-time higher education programs at participating Danish Universities. The scholarship may be awarded as full or partial exemptions of the tuition fee as well as grants to help with living expenses.
Scholarships at European Universities for Non-EU Students
Excellence Scholarships at Leiden University (Netherlands)
The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) is open to exceptional non-EU/EEA students enrolled in any of the university’s MA, MSc, or LL.M programs. The scholarships can be in the amount of €10,000 toward tuition, €15,000 toward tuition, or the entire amount of tuition less the house charge.
High Potential Scholarships at the University of Maastricht (Netherlands)
Talented students from outside the EEA may apply for UM High Potential Scholarships to study in one of the participating master’s programs or graduate professional programs provided by Maastricht University (UM), with the exception of the School of Business and Economics. The scholarships pay for the cost of tuition, monthly living expenses, insurance, and visa fees.
Scholarship Program at Radboud University (Netherlands)
The Radboud Scholarship Program gives a chosen group of gifted future non-EEA students the chance to acquire a scholarship to undertake a full Master’s degree program at Radboud University Nijmegen with English as the primary language of instruction.
The award entails a partial tuition waiver, meaning that the student must still pay the same amount as an EEA student. The Radboud Scholarship also includes coverage for expenses related to obtaining a visa, a residency permit, health insurance, and liability insurance.
International Scholarships at Lund University (Sweden) for Non-EU/EEA Students
The Lund University Global Scholarship program is intended for outstanding academic students who are residents of nations outside the EU/EEA (as well as Switzerland) and who are enrolled in the university’s Masters Degree Program. Depending on the scholarship, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the tuition may be paid. The expense of living is not covered.
Scholarships from Chalmers IPOET (Sweden)
For potential fee-paying students from outside the EU/EEA who want to enroll in any of the university’s master’s degree programs, Chalmers will provide about 50 IPOET scholarships. The scholarship offers a 75% tuition fee discount for a 4-semester, 2-year program.
Global Scholarships at Uppsala University (Sweden)
The Uppsala University provides first-year applicants from outside the EU/EEA who intend to study a Master’s Degree Program provided by the University with the Uppsala University Global Scholarships. The tuition is paid for by the scholarship.
Swedish KTH Scholarships
For non-EU/EEA/EFTA nationals who must pay tuition fees and have applied for a Master’s degree at KTH, a small number of tuition fee waivers will be made available. The tuition cost will be eliminated for the duration of the program if a scholarship is awarded.
International Students’ Emile Boutmy Scholarships (France)
In order to draw the top international students from outside the European Union who are first-time candidates and who have been admitted to an Undergraduate or Master’s course offered at the University, Sciences Po established the Emile Boutmy Scholarships in honor of the institution’s founder. For 2 years of postgraduate education, the scholarships can range from €5,000 to €10,000, or for 3 years of undergraduate study, they can range from €3,000 to €12,300.
International Scholarships at the University of Oulu (Finland)
International students with academic talent may apply for scholarships through the University of Oulu International Scholarship Scheme to study for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree there. The scholarships will be given as a tuition fee waiver, which will cover 50%, 75%, or 100% of the tuition.
